UPDATE – Problems seem to be resolved.
YIKES! Something has blown a gasket and Summon, Resource pages, Database searching… well, a lot of things are not working.
The Tech folks have been contacted. Stay Tuned!
September 21 to 27 is Banned Books Week.
So, let’s stick it to The Man! Go read a book, already!
Recently, there have been some problems linking to Project Muse eBooks. Last month, some records were added to the Catalogue for ebooks not yet published. This should all be sorted by the end of August.
So, please report any ebook problems via out Help Form, but also be aware you may have to go to Project Muse’s site to search for the ebooks directly AND that some are not there (as they aren’t even published yet).
Sorry for the temporary confusion.
Oxford Journals are currently not accessible off-campus due to an EZproxy issue. To get around the error message while on campus, copy and paste the first URL in the message into your browser address bar.
We will post on Twitter and this blog when the EZproxy issue has been resolved.
Access to China Academic journals has been restored. Please submit troubleshooting tickets to the library Eresources & Access unit if you notice any problems:

There is a server problem with China Academic Journals that is preventing access. We are in contact with CNKI trying to get it fixed. Monitor our tweets and blog posts for updates.
UPDATE! Now use BrowZine online, too.
We have decided to go with a subscription to BrowZine, a great app for browsing our Library ejournal collection… from anywhere!
This app is available for iPads & Android tablets & now iPhones, too.
Watch a video on how BrowZine works here.
To access BrowZine for the first time, please do the following:
If you’ve been using our Open Access library, log out of the Open Access library:
Start Browsing!
The new, streamlined interface for Summon (UBC Library’s resource discovery tool) has been launched as of Monday June 23rd. Try a search and see what you think! ow.ly/ylWEZ
Currently, there seems to be a problem linking at the ARTICLE level from Summon, PubMed, etc. to ScienceDirect. We are investigating.
If you don’t want to land at the JOURNAL level in ScienceDirect and then hunt for your article, you can go to ScienceDirect’s Advanced Search page and search for the article from there. Remember though, that as you are not coming from the Library you will not see our coverage dates ahead of time. It is possible you will find an article outside our access dates. If the article lacks a green box or a PDF icon, odds are we do not have access.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
