By madgett on February 24, 2021

UBC Restored to Google Scholar Google Scholar has dropped UBC Library (UBC eLink) as an option from its “Library Links” under “Settings”. Unfortunately, this will take about a week to resolve. In the meanwhile, if you have installed our Library Access Browser Extension from Lean Library, you can highlight the article’s title from a Google […]

By madgett on July 27, 2018

By irobb on April 6, 2009

Searches in Google Scholar are yielding much more consistent results. Possible links are almost always listed as “UBC eLink” and only occasionally as “UBC Library Catalogue” (both go to the same SFX menu). But, alas, no yet. Some problems still exist, but these are due to the poor incoming information rather than a resolving problem […]

Google Scholar & eLink: .ca VS .com *UPDATE*

By irobb on March 2, 2009

A plugin called LibX seems to play a roll in the way eLink buttons are displayed. Ed from Systems reports Google is also going to run an update (soon?). So, keep watching for an improvement on this front. Previously… We are not sure why (we are investigating) but the eLinks show up better in Firefox […]
