eBook Update: Books 24×7 & ebrary

Posted on September 24, 2010 @2:30 pm by irobb

You can create personal bookshelves in Books 24×7 and ebrary. You can use either your UBCcard Barcode & PIN (recommended method) or your CWL, but you cannot cross-link bookshelves (ie books saved on a UBCcard generated shelf are not on a CWL generated shelf) nor cross-link platforms.

Books 24×7:  After logging in to Books 24×7, click on the -Account Info- tab then “User Information”. Enter your name & email (Note: if logging in by CWL, you can’t enter email). Personal folders display under -My Home- tab. Always log out.

ebrary: After arriving on the ebrary platform, click on the -Bookshelf- tab. You will be asked to log in via EZproxy, unless you logged into EZproxy earlier in your session (we recommend using your UBCcard). Remember to sign out.

Many eJournals Missing from Catalogue… for now

Posted on September 15, 2010 @9:30 am by irobb

*UPDATE* ejournal records are back in the Catalogue… and working!

Those familiar with ejournals at the UBC Library know that there are two quick ways to find links from the Library’s web space:

  1. via the ejournal A-Z list
  2. via the Library Catalogue

Unfortunately, some work on the Catalogue ejournal records is still underway. As a result, many ejournal records are missing at the moment. So, please make the ejournal A-Z list your first stop for ejournal title searching.

As always, please contact eResources if you have questions.
