No CommentseResources: Indexes & Databases => Broken
Posted on October 12, 2010 @5:23 pm by irobb
*UPDATE* The link to Infexes & Databases is working again. However, Library staff who were working on Resource info pages yesterday, or Subject Guides or Course Pages may want to review the work as the problem server has reverted back to an October 11th, archived version. LSIT (Systems) will be sending out an email to staff.
The link from the Library Homepage (and possibly other links elsewhere) to the Indexes and Databases page(s) is broken. Dedicated Library Systems folks are working on it. There are reports of other glitches, but they seem to have been resolved. Stay tuned!
No CommentsGreenFILE: Undergoing Some Adjustment
Posted on October 8, 2010 @5:50 pm by irobb
GreenFILE
*UPDATE* UBC eLink is in GreenFILE now.
Do to some ongoing adjustments by the provider of the GreenFILE database, the familiar UBC eLink button… …is not displaying next to articles. To see if we have an article, take the citation information for an article found in GreenFILE and plug it into our Citation Linker (use the Linker’s Advanced Search). It’s not the best solutions, but this problem may take a couple weeks to fix. Stay tuned.
ejournals in the Library Catalogue: What the @#*%!
Posted on September 29, 2010 @10:54 am by irobb
*UPDATE* eJournal records in the Library Catalogue displaying normally again.
Apologies.
ejournal records in the Library Catalogue are appearing as per this:
… and worse, issn searches are probably returning no ejournal results. The problem is new ejournal records were loaded in the Catalogue, but indexing hasn’t happened yet… and won’t till this week end.
So, if looking for an ejournal , please use the ejournal A-Z list. If you must search in the Catalogue, search by title for now and don’t panic when results look odd like the above, centre image. Hopefully, all will be back to normal Monday.
Contact us via our Help Form if you have any questions.
