Pitchbook – “Connection refused” Error
Issue is now fixed. July 14, 2023 Accessing Pitchbook via the UBC Pitchbook Link (https://library-ubc-pitchbook-com.ezproxy.library.ubc.ca/) will produce this error: “Connection refused by library.ubc.pitchbook.com, please try again later.” Pitchbook is working on getting this issue fixed ASAP
Pitchbook – Account was deleted or inactive
Pitchbook individual accounts expire after lack of usage or at the end of our subscription year (late June, early July). If you see an error that says your account was deleted or inactive, you can reset your account here by using your UBC email address to create a new account – https://ezproxy.library.ubc.ca/login?url=http://library.ubc.pitchbook.com/
Error when Accessing Karger Books and Journals

CNKI – HTTP ERROR 503
Users will see a HTTP ERROR 503 when trying to access some CNKI Journals/Ebooks. We are working on getting this fixed! A temporary solution is manually to replace the ‘global’ in the URL with “oversea’. E.G. http://global.cnki.net.eu1.proxy.openathens.net/knavi/JournalDetail?pcode=CJFD&pykm=SHXI will not work but http://oversea.cnki.net.eu1.proxy.openathens.net/knavi/JournalDetail?pcode=CJFD&pykm=SHXI will
Lost Access to Oxford
Our Oxford ebooks and journals are not recognizing UBC users for access. You will hit a paywall or “Get Access” despite already logged in. Oxford is aware of the issue and it should be fixed by the end of the day.
Library Toolkit and Resource Pages Not Working (Indexes and Databases)
Issue is now fixed. We are seeing an SQL error for our Library Toolkit and Resource Pages Not Working (Indexes and Databases). Library IT is aware and looking into it.
Open Athens Access not working for some users – Giving CWL Authentication Error
